Flavor Profile: Full body with hints of vanilla and sweet smokiness, with a peppery finish.
About Our Organic Cafe Cubano
As a child, Martin Mayorga spent time at cigar factories with his father, interacting with Cuban cigar makers who had fled Castro's government in the 1960's. He recalled the men playing dominos, talking about their plight upon leaving their home country, and drinking a distinctly dark, syrup coffee. Later in his childhood, Martin was able to appreciate first hand this rich coffee while spending time with his father and Cuban immigrants who moved to Miami.
Our Café Cubano is an homage to the culture and distinct flavor that Martin still appreciates to this day and that brings him back memories of his father and others who fled their governments to find freedom in the United States. This profile is achieved through the specific coffees used and the roast process which we apply to achieve a distinct rich, smoky flavor with a smooth finish.
Please note that this coffee does not contain any ingredients from Cuba nor is it in any way an endorsement of the Castro’s government and its practices.

Have been ordering this coffee for years. Only once were we disappointed when we received the wrong grind. Upon contacting the company, they quickly replaced our original order and we have not had a problem since. This is fabulous coffee and we order smaller, other mixes to give away as Christmas presents to friends and family. We have always received great responses, so I say, purchase your Christmas gifts from Mayorga, you won't be disappointed and neither will the recipients!

I like a good cup of coffee in the morning, and your coffee fit that bill.

Cafe Cubano is the most robust, rich, flavorful dark roast I have ever tasted. There are hints of chocolate intermixed with a deep strong flavor.

I have been drinking Cafe Cubano By Mayorga, daily for over a year & that is why I re-order when I am low. It is rich yet smooth. I will continue, as I have been re-supplied.

We have been drinking Mayorga coffees for a few years now but this is a particular favorite of ours. The flavor is very distinct... sweet but not too much so, and rich but not overwhelming so.

I prefer dark roast coffee but it's been difficult to find one with a SMOOTH, full flavor that doesn't also tasted burned, or is not fresh on arrival.
Until I found this wonderfully smooth, rich and full dark roast, without an inkling of over-roast, I would have to make a trek to a favorite Cuban cafe 12 miles away to get my fix. Now I can make my own sweet Cafe Cubano, or just brew up a nice pot of coffee at home!!! I'm so happy I tried this. It also makes a very good New Orleans style cold brew.
I was also impressed with the degree of freshness when it came. I live in Los Angeles and have been a mail order customer from a local roaster who roasts and ships on the same day so I've been spoiled by fresh beans on a bi-weekly basis. When I opened my bag of Mayorga, I was happy to find that the aroma from the beans was dark, deeply scented with yummy notes and most of all...fresh.
I highly recommend this to any dark roast lover, you won't be disappointed!

While I'm still sampling your other coffees I have come back to Cubano for it's rich smooth flavor. I will keep some of this on hand no matter what other coffee i'm experimenting with. Thank you for an excellent coffee!

Everyone now comes to my house for coffee. If there is going to be a gathering and it is in the morning, my home gets the vote and it's because of the Cafe Cubano Coffee I serve. Naturally not bitter, even when I make it strong which is all of the time. Even people who don't like strong coffee love mine. I love this coffee and have turned on lots of people to purchasing, plus I give out as hostess gifts all of the time. I pour the leftover into a pitcher in the refrigerator and drink it as iced coffee. I also make coffee ice cubes out of the left overs which keeps my iced coffee from diluting. I love it!

This is hands down the best dark roasted coffee I have ever found outside of Cuba or Puerto Rico. I always expresso grind it and it makes a very rich, satisfying cup. I often chill it and drink it over ice in the summer. My wife uses it as the base for a Latte and loves how the flavor stands up to the creamy taste of the milk.
