Flavor Profile: Full body with hints of vanilla and sweet smokiness, with a peppery finish.
About Our Organic Cafe Cubano
As a child, Martin Mayorga spent time at cigar factories with his father, interacting with Cuban cigar makers who had fled Castro's government in the 1960's. He recalled the men playing dominos, talking about their plight upon leaving their home country, and drinking a distinctly dark, syrup coffee. Later in his childhood, Martin was able to appreciate first hand this rich coffee while spending time with his father and Cuban immigrants who moved to Miami.
Our Café Cubano is an homage to the culture and distinct flavor that Martin still appreciates to this day and that brings him back memories of his father and others who fled their governments to find freedom in the United States. This profile is achieved through the specific coffees used and the roast process which we apply to achieve a distinct rich, smoky flavor with a smooth finish.
Please note that this coffee does not contain any ingredients from Cuba nor is it in any way an endorsement of the Castro’s government and its practices.

An excellent espresso roast, just right for any espresso based drink. Bold flavor that holds up to any additions. Much better than the Big Name Brand. If you have every had Cuban (or similar) coffee, this is the real stuff.

The bold yet smooth flavor of Café Cubano is perfect for a silky espresso or a Cappuccino, Latte or Cuban Coffee. I enjoy this coffee every morning and have given away several other major and craft brands as they just do not compare. Thank you to the Mayorga family - you make my mornings!

This is the best coffee I have ever had. I went off coffee for 20+ years. Had I known this coffee existed before, I'm sure that wouldn't have happened. I only have one a day, but my favorite part of waking up is knowing that I am going to be able to have a cup of Mayorga. And it's better than anything I can get when I visit Miami too.
Is it morning yet?

My brother's girlfriend brought a 5 pound bag of Cafe Cubano whole bean coffee for Christmas 5 years ago. I have been getting this delicious coffee every 6 months ever since.

Yes, life is better when starting my day with a cup of Mayorga's Cafe Cubano. Of course, I have tried others but realize that I am wasting my time and keep returning to Cafe Cubano. It is different and stands up and above the others.

I've traveled the world from the Americas to Europe and beyond sampling coffee from every place that was visited. I've been right there at the roaster turning beans and watching the progress as they roast gently. I consider myself the "Anthony Bordain" of coffee! :-)....Cafe Cubano from Mayorga is probably the closest to what I call a fantastic coffee. Having visited Cuba and sampling coffee there I think Cafe Cubano is better. I've tried all South American coffees and Caribbean ones as well..... Congratulations on the best coffee that is available to the general public either by express mail or walk in! Truly Amazing *****

dark, smooth and a touch of sweet.
very nice coffee. Not as good as the cup I got at Baltimore airport MAJORGA kiosk. That was outstanding!
I have gotten a different coffeemaker and am experimenting with different grinds to see if I can duplicate the cup I got at the kiosk. getting close.

Fresh, rich, stunning terrific java roast for coffee purists, the best, there are no other fine coffees anywhere in the world like Mayorga's. An even more wonderful side benefit: Mayorga's best practices in working with its coffee bean growing partners - smaller, sustainable, earth-friendly coffee farmers. Simply the BEST.

'Twas love at first sip. That is the last of it. While living in northern VA I was able to purchase Mayorga Organics at our local Whole Foods and Co-op. In San Diego now, I must order online, which may diminish the flavor, as it's a long flight and the heat may get to it. I am not sure, but I am less than "wowed" as I was in the beginning of my love affair with Mayorga's Cafe Cubano.
